Grants for School Trips in Disadvantaged Areas (Cornwall and Blackpool)21st October 2024

The Clore Duffield Foundation has announced the launch of its School Trip Grant programme. In year one, the programme aims to support state-funded primary and secondary schools in Cornwall and Blackpool by facilitating trips to museums, galleries, heritage sites, and other cultural venues.

Schools will receive 100% funding and can access advice, sign-posting and brokerage support from the Clore Duffield Schools Programme Manager.

  • Primary schools will commit to six off-site trips a year per student for every student, funding of over £6,000 per class per year is available
  • Secondary schools will commit to three off-site visits a year per student for every student, funding of over £3,000 per class per year is available.

The primary purpose of this grant is to enable schools to provide their pupils with enriching cultural experiences that they might otherwise miss due to financial constraints.

In its first, pilot year, the Foundation will invest up to £1million in total in the programme and expects to offer funding to between 8-10 schools across Blackpool and Cornwall. Funding will initially be provided to schools for one school year.

Schools can complete an application form on the Clore Duffield Foundation's website. Applicants need to provide clear details of the planned trip, the number of students attending, and the impact the visit will have on their education

There is currently no closing date given.
